Detroit Tigers closer Joe Nathan is having an off year.

Fans had high hopes for Nathan when he signed a two-year, $20 million contract with the team this past offseason, but things quickly turned. Nathan — whose 369 saves rank seventh in MLB history — has seen his ERA skyrocket from 1.39 last season with the Texas Rangers to 5.25 this year with the Tigers.

And Nathan is hearing about it on Twitter.

Detroit’s 97.1 The Ticket asked Nathan to read some of those fans’ mean tweets, and the pitcher was a great sport about it. He even challenged them to get a little more creative, like he did with his “chin flick.”

Your move, Tigers fans.
