Ray Allen, Dion WaitersNBA legend Ray Allen apparently feels he has at least one more season in his 39-year-old legs.

The Boston Globe cites an NBA source that says Allen is leaning toward returning for another season. According to the report, Allen would join LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers after spending the last two seasons with James in Miami.

Allen reportedly considered retirement, but James has been trying to convince the probable Hall of Famer to join him in Cleveland. In fact, the Cavs’ reported interest in Allen began before James even officially signed with the team.

Allen is coming off a season in which he played 73 games for the Heat. The sharp-shooter averaged a career-low 9.6 points per game in 26.5 minutes per night, but he still could offer the Cavs another legitimate outside threat. Arguably the greatest 3-point shooter of all time, Allen hit 37.5 percent of his threes last season.
