When LeBron James announced his return to the Cleveland Cavaliers, he brought more than his talents back to Northeast Ohio.

In the days leading up to James’ decision, fans gathered in swarms around his house in Bath Township, Ohio, to wait for his announcement. Their presence created so much of a disturbance in the neighborhood that LeBron felt the need to apologize to his neighbors after the dust had settled.

That was the note that James sent to the family of Dave Galehouse, a rising sophomore at Ohio State who lives one street away from LeBron.

As the apology indicates, the newest member of the Cavs sweetened the deal by enlisting a bakery in Fairlawn, Ohio, to send the family a box of cupcakes.

Oddly enough, this isn’t the first time LeBron has been associated with the tasty treat. Several days before James’ decision, an Ohio cupcake shop called Caroline’s Cupcakes reported in a bizarre Facebook post that he would return to Cleveland.

The shop, of course, was right, and now LeBron’s neighbor’s are reaping the delicious benefits.
